What is a CIMT?

CIMT (Carotid Intima-Media Thickness) is a non-invasive ultrasound test that measures the thickness of your carotid artery walls. This advanced screening can detect arterial plaque buildup years before symptoms appear.

Unlike traditional cholesterol tests, CIMT provides a direct visual assessment of your cardiovascular health, helping identify risks for heart attack and stroke early when intervention is most effective.
